A peek into our Delhi Photography Exhibition
With all thanks to Almighty ,our mentor Mr Raghu Rai and our teacher Mr Nitin Rai , the time to display our work at the Alliance Francaise, New Delhi came to a fruition. After successful displays at Puducherry and Auroville, organizing this third exhibiting of our works was an easy affair with experience from the two previous shows. It took us an entire day to set it up and everybody put in a lot of effort (including our Nitin sir). So finally the D-day arrived on the 5th march 2011.
Our show was inaugurated by Mr Ashok Vajpayee (chairman, Lalit Kala Academy). His feedback for the exhibition was invaluable . He shared his thoughts about art and its current trends. Presence of various guests including My teacher Mr Nitin rai , my friends ,my Survival room team made me feel good but i was missing something known as family. But encouraging responses to our work from all the guests proved to be inspiring and motivating. This motivation is enough to produce more and more quality stuff in the coming future.
After all the hard work of the inauguration day, it was time to relax . The next few days brought some surprises including a visit from my Mother, Mr Mike Pandey and the most unexpected of them all, the French Transport minister and the French Ambassador. I wish I had worn a turban that day then I could have shown him the difference between our countries, where i have the full freedom to wear anything, any symbol regardless of it being religious. Still that thought made me felt more proud of my country. Maybe I’ll get an opportunity to work on this issue .who knows!!
